Litter Box Size Guide

Measure your cat, then measure inside the box.

Measuring

1. Measure your cat from nose to base of tail.
2. Multiply by 1.5 for the minimum box length.
3. Check the inside floor of the box, not the outer rim.
4. Check the side height: high enough to hold litter, with a low entry for older cats.

Special cases

• Kittens: low sides, about 3 inches or less at the entry.
• Senior or arthritic cats: very low entry, open box.
• Large breeds: extra-large boxes or storage tubs with a cut-out entry.
• Cats that spray: high sides or a high-backed box.
